Solutions Engineer - Survey & Engineering

Who You Are:

You are a Solution Engineer who is responsible for designing and deploying Berntsen solutions directly to an end customer, or in support of a larger Survey and Engineering firm project. The Solution Engineer’s primary metrics are the number of successful project deployments implemented, and the quality of those deployments (on-time, on-budget, high customer satisfaction).    

More importantly, you are a high-energy analytical person who succeeds in a complex solution environment. You are energized by being on the ground floor of a next generation opportunity.     

What We Expect From You:

  • Assess customer needs including customer meetings or on-site visits as needed

  • Design an optimal solution that meets or exceeds customer needs within budget and time constraints (with Account Manager).  Solution elements must include:

o   Recommended product and software components

o   Training and support requirements

o   Project Management requirements by Berntsen

o   Project deployment schedule including milestone and measures of progress

o   Estimated cost

  • Produce a quote (with account manager) and support solution deployment questions as needed with the end customer

  • Manage the project deployment, provide training and installation support

  • Conduct post-deployment assessment of project delivery; mitigate any shortcomings

What You Will Need:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the AEC world

  • Demonstrated solution deployment experience

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent written & oral communication skills

  • Understanding of utility or public works asset management
